Benevolence Ministry
ABOUT OUR MINISTRY
Riceville’s Benevolence Ministry exists to glorify Christ by demonstrating His love through monetary gifts, material donations, and compassionate outreach to those in need—both within our congregation and throughout the community. Guided by the 4 E’s—Exalting the Savior, Enlightening the Unsaved, Embracing All Generations through Love, and Elevating Humanity by Reaching Out—we are committed to serving with open arms and open hearts, ensuring that every act of giving reflects the grace and generosity of God.
For Volunteers
Our Benevolence Ministry is limited to active Riceville members who are committed to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality while serving those in need. Volunteers meet as needed to discuss and review financial policies and guidelines, ensuring that all assistance is provided with integrity and generosity.
Food Pantry & Clothes Closet
Feeding Souls & Clothing Hearts
Riceville’s Food Pantry and Clothes Closet Ministry is committed to serving our congregation and community with compassion and generosity. Rooted in the belief that “We Are Riceville” and that every blessing is meant to be shared, we provide both physical nourishment and spiritual encouragement. Through food, clothing, and the love of Christ, we seek to meet needs, uplift hearts, and remind all that God’s presence is near.
Matthew 25:35–36 (NIV): “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
For Volunteers
The Food Pantry and Clothes Closet Ministry welcomes all Riceville members with a willing heart to serve in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Opportunities to assist include donating non-perishable food items and clothing, helping with food and clothing distribution, and offering prayer support to community members. Every act of service helps us meet both physical and spiritual needs.
